During Spring Break we took a road trip to a small town of Salado to see the daughter of a friend get married. When I heard it was an outdoor wedding I was thinking really, do people do that in Texas? But better now than in the summer! We fell in love with Salado! Such a quaint little town, fun shops, and then the Inn we stayed at was fabulous!
If you ever go, The Inn on the Creek is a must place to stay
Love all the antiques in this place
We were not sure what the bathroom sink was doing outside the bathroom itself but here it is!
So relaxing
Love the hammocks by the creek. It used to be even prettier but the last hurricane did quite a bit of damage to the banks.
Nothing like a wrap around porch to say...slow down and smell the roses!
Resident pet in the middle of a meow!
The parlor
Our friends, Jonathan & Maria Young also stayed with us at the Inn
I can't even begin to describe this fabulous croissant, so flaky on the outside and super yummy on the inside. Seriously, the best I've had! If only there was chocolate on the inside...
We had so much fun with the Youngs!
We also visited a local Tea Room
Oh, the reason we came....Samantha & Wesley saying their vows
Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Rogers
The Groom's Cake....need I say more??? Brilliant! This German Chocolate Cake was to die for!
The wedding planners, Lennie, Mother of the Bride, and her sidekick
This was such a fun idea for the guests...they had boa, tiara, and all kinds of hats to pose with.
The Bride's cake and cupcakes
Just so we knew we were there!
Partners in crime
Niece & flower girl, Savannah, and her lovely mom, Micah, also Matron of Honor
Father of the Bride and her nephew, Luke
Wedding parties...sorry, I did not capture them all. So pretty with all different shades of green!
The happy couple!
Back of Sam's dress!
Cheers you two...may God bless you both with many years together! And thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
