Funny thing as I'm making my way back to Blogger world...I forgot my password! Sometimes my mommy brain just creeps up at me! Just wondering how long I can use "mommy brain" as an excuse before it turns in early onset Alzheimer's. You think I kid, NOT!

So for our 5th anniversary we went to Mark's for dinner. This happens to be hubby's boss' favorite restaurant so he takes his department here for lunch on several occasions. But it was my first time!

Me & The Mister

I just want to point out here that even though I'm the Asian one, my man's eyes disappears when he takes pics!

He thought I'm taking a pic of him but really I secretly wanted to take a pic of the wonderful window and high ceiling :) Behind that window lies a wine cellar!

A prelude to our dessert

This never works for us trying to take our own picture.

Our waiter to the rescue

Hubby heard "doughnut" and had to get this dessert with an apple doughnut...really? I bet Shipley's has one for...well, let's not go there! It's our anny so he can have whatever he wants!

I, on the other hand always get something chocolate. But our waiter said they had a Fall/Pumpkin platter with: Pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin flan, cider with brandy, pumpkin ice cream and spice pumpkin bread pudding. So I said "I'll have one of those please!"

This place used to be an old 1920's church that was renovated into a restaurant. So now it's named after its owner, Mark. No tricky trivia here.

Just gorgeous entry way and windows throughout the restaurant.

We also camped out at The Houstonian Hotel for the night and they gave us complimentary bubbly and these chocolate pretties!

Here's to 50 more years Honey!

What a treat! Hubby said he doesn't understand the fruit with chocolate thing...I guess that's a Venus vs. Mars thing!

Umm...yes, this was what I pictured when celebrating our 5th year together!

Still goofing around with the anny cam!

Morning after...me and my priorities! Caffeine!

I asked him if he was researching my Christmas gift by any chance?

Well, you can't see it but our room was nestled away in the woods...so peaceful! Funny side note...The Houstonian is well known for it's health club, jogging/walking trail, tennis courts, golf, etc...I guess for those who do not want to give up their routine while staying there. Well, we didn't take advantage of any of those guest services! But I did have a fleeting thought about trying out one of their Pilates classes but thought better of it!

Breakfast!

A nice little getaway...Our package was called The Hideaway package if you're interested. Comes with room, bubbly & chocolate strawberries, and breakfast or room service. Oh, and our 2 yr. old was probably being spoiled rotten by the grandparents while we were gone!
