Happy Fourth of July!

This was the first Fourth of July for Caris so we had fun with being patriotic with her! We spent the day with Patrick's side of the family at his Uncle Gary and Aunt Sharon's house.  They had a nice swimming pool and the weather was a little overcast so it was perfect.  The only thing was Caris doesn't sleep anywhere else but her crib at home so she went most of the day without napping!  She was a trooper but hopefully next year she will be able to stay up to enjoy some fireworks!

We are so thankful to be able to celebrate our country this Fourth of July. The good, the bad, and all that America represents, with all the freedom that we enjoy.  I know we have Veterans and Memorial Day but I think of all the Americans that serve in all the armed forces to protect our freedom on this day.  I wouldn't want to live anywhere else unless God says differently.  God bless the great U S of A and let freedom ring!

Being patriotic with our matching toesies and red, white, and blue!

Trying to walk but needed daddy's assistant on the tile floor.
Not so sure about getting in the water!

She is zoning due to a dire need of a nap.
Flag cake that Aunt Sharon made.
Uncle Gary went to town with all the BBQ.

The Bakers, Flanakins, and my mom & stepdad.
Is it nap time yet???

She does love the water and wants to swim.
