This summer I was so blessed to be a part of a Ladies Bible Study at First Baptist Houston. It was so refreshing to be able to meet with these godly women every Tuesday morning to study the word together. We did a study on 2 Peter and I must say it made me examined my heart and motivation every week. What were the time wasters in my life and how can I glorify the Lord as a stay at home mom? What were some idols or sins in my life that were keeping me from studying God's word. One thing I know to be true, we all make time for what we really want to do, right? It was eye opening and the small group accountability challenged me to go deeper in the word. I thank God for all these stay at home moms and their desire to serve God in their lives.
So this Fall we are doing a bible study on Shepherding A Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp. One of my friend, Kristin, actually recommended this book when I was pregnant. So here I am going deeper still to see how to "shepherd" my child. The book gives an insight on how to speak to your child's heart from a biblical perspective and hone in on that instead of the behavior...such awesome truths! I look forward to more truths being unfold and for my heart to be teachable as the spirit leads.
Here we are "agents of God" ready to shepherd our children. Our group leader Ashley actually brought her camera during one of the last bible study this summer but believe it or not some were missing due to mommy duty with sick little ones.

So wish I could do that new study with yall. I want to read the book but the study will be awesome. Especially with that group! Sounds like such a blessing. So glad you've enjoyed it.
